Valentines Day...

Is it really about the roses, the chocolate and the new and hilarious Asda smart price cards... hmmm...

"You will only expect a few words, what will those be?

When the heart is full it may run over, but the real fullness stays within.
You asked me yesterday "if I should repent?"

Yes, my own Ba, I could with all the past were to do over again, that in it I might somewhat more, never so little more, conform in the outward homage, to the inward feeling, What I have professed, (for I have performed nothing) seems to fall short of what my first love required even, and when I think of this moment's love...I could repent, as I say.Words can never tell you, however, form them, transform them anyway, how perfectly dear you are to me, perfectly dear to my heart and soul. I look back, and in every one point, every word and gesture, every letter, every silence, you have been entirely perfect to me, I would not change one word, one look. My hope and aim are to preserve this love, not to fall from it, for which I trust to God who procured it for me, and doubtless can preserve it. Enough now, my dearest, dearest, own Ba! You have given me the highest, completest proof of love that ever one human being gave another. I am all gratitude, and all pride (under the proper feeling which ascribes pride to the right source) all pride that my life has been so crowned by you. God bless you prays your very own R."

Robert Browining to Elizabeth barret Browinhg.

Now thats Vintage... yup as it turns out NONE of the 'boys' (posing as men.) I've met would be capable of any of those fantastic collections in the ever so popular book- Love Letters of Great men. I guess thats why its titled 'Love letters of great men'...

Right!?!?

Tumblr pics of my week...

Including this Cheeky Bennie Hart pic... The younger version of me, and a budding creative. Nic to talk to him yesterday, probably made my horrific last two weeks ^-^ Definatly need to enquire as to where he's found that mirror as I NEED to acquire it pronto...

Victimised...

It seems a nice round lens has taken centre stage... and Ive been taking the michael of my daddies Versace round spectacles. It appears that if your going to 'vintage wear,' this season, round Sunnies are a must! Well... can't help being a victim to fashion if it looks this darn good! What can i say!

Furniture love...

Some fabulous Eclectic interiors which help Vintage furniture get a little bit of loving! Don't chuck it out!!! Re-vamp it. After all we're in a recession you know. Cover those seats with some lovely vintage satins. Mis-match your chairs, and why not throw in some Cuckoo clocks, Treasure chests and ornate lampshades, its not fairytale furniture, If its good enough for Paris it's good enough for you and I. Lets get on it!

Vintage fairing

So as you can probably see by the cheeky pics we've put up we've been busy vintage fairing, and oh me oh my, i certainly have got a labour for you. The smell of of vintage furs, and hidden stories just Ooazes from the clothing at fairs, I think its the best place to pick up pieces, Buying in bulk often means that you get a bag of crap, just to fill. But fairs mean that you've collected pieces that really have been lost and in need of a little loving. I've managed to get myself the most delicious sunglasses their just super fabulous! Or Amazeballs as I may also say. Love em'. There in the original leather case and originally 40's-50's glasses. They've bowed slightly where the plastic has warmed. But I intend to warm them up and give them a little love. The most horrific thing is that now I have them. I just can't seem to let them go! I bought them for the webpage! But I truly think I've fallen in love with them. I just can't wait to get to the next fair.

Oh and I also managed to find some lovely jubly patterns. Fabric patterns can be expensive from stores, I managed to get a few original vogue patterns some 50's and a few 80's . The 80's pattern is just perfect for the dress fabric I got at weekend with the girlies a nice rustic orange and Yellow. I'm going to do the dress half and half so should be lovely. Thats after I've finished my 50's summer dress.

Now all I need is some brown or gold elastic which is chunky enough to be a waist band... So I can also make a lovely skirt, and that means I have a percentage of my spring/summer wardrobe for next to nothing...

Love it!  I'll take a few cheeky snapshots for you to have a gander at.

Typical British weather...

So it's super duper 'chilly' I've been in the Russian fur hat today and the mittens on saturday. It's blooming' freezing and a veil of lacy snow has covered the City centre which will probably expire tomorrow leaving  some form of delicious slushy substance... Ick!

Needs me one of these- (in truly vintage style obviously)...
